It was recently announced that the upcoming movie in the Harry Potter series will not be released in 3D, as had been planned. Apparently the studio felt that the post-processing required to release the film in 3D at their standards would simply take too much time. Rather than moving the release date back, as has been seen with titles such as Clash of the Titans, they decided to simply drop the third dimension entirely.

Warner Bros. has stated in a press release that The Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 will be released, as planned, in 3D.
